The Winter of 2024

I have had a very mixed winter for work, sadly I have been laid up for a while with engine trouble, but Dr Lewis has managed to top up various systems & hopefully I am now on the road to full recovery.  Dr Lewis has informed me  that I still have a couple of leaks to deal with at the end of the season. I have been on a farm in Stow with Mr French only to find that Ollie the Owl has learnt that using me as a toilet is a good idea, so I get a weekly wash to spruce me up before I go out for the day!

While I was in Dr Lewis’s hands,Mr Matthew has learnt how to use my winch, which has lain idle since I arrived.  I have pushed & pulled my cable in so many times, I hope this is not a sign of future things I might have to recover.

Spring is not far away. I need re-painting in certain areas which will be done before I am on parade this summer. I have had a full service which included an oil transfusion, a check on all my different gear boxes, axle oil levels, fuel filters in fact the works as well as a new exhaust pipe. They say I am now purring like a cat as I have now given up smoking which for a man of my age is the correct thing to do as getting up these  hills with parties of 10 – 16 people is no mean feat!
